Yesterday Peter Fleck and I led a “WordPress Geekout” at MinneWebCon 2011. It was lots of fun.
The format was open – that is, we asked the audience for topics and addressed WordPress successes, failures, and questions. To kick things off, Peter and I provided some potential discussion starters.
Topics that were brought up include:
- Mobile themes
- WordPress Multisite
- Analytics
- Posterous to WordPress
- Peter’s plugin rant 🙂
- Frameworks
- Drupal vs. WordPress (mostly shirked this one)
- Parent themes
- Local WordPress Resources
Overall the conference was great. There was talk over tater tots afterwards to include a series of workshops next year. This seems like a great idea!

How to fix SpinupWP ballooning disk space issue
A site we host on Digital Ocean recently went down. It took me a lot of troubleshooting and digging before realizing that the issue was that our disk space was maxed out on Digital Ocean. The site in question needs ~20gb of space, so our 50gb server should be plenty. But alas, there it was…

But when I checked the Google Reviews link, it was down. And after…
