WordPress Geekout at MinneWebCon 2011

Yesterday Peter Fleck and I led a “WordPress Geekout” at MinneWebCon 2011. It was lots of fun.

The format was open – that is, we asked the audience for topics and addressed WordPress successes, failures, and questions.  To kick things off, Peter and I provided some potential discussion starters.

Topics that were brought up include:

  • Mobile themes
  • WordPress Multisite
  • Analytics
  • Posterous to WordPress
  • Peter’s plugin rant  🙂
  • Frameworks
  • Drupal vs. WordPress (mostly shirked this one)
  • Parent themes
  • Local WordPress Resources

Overall the conference was great.  There was talk over tater tots afterwards to include a series of workshops next year.  This seems like a great idea!
