WordPress as a CMS | WordCamp MSP | Nov. 13, 2010

I was asked to take over this topic this morning, and I will do my best to adhere to the following session description:

This session will go into depth on the ease of using WordPress as an all-purpose content management system. Especially from the standpoint of how developers can quickly turn out quality, administrable websites for their clients with just a few key plugins and a base install of WordPress.

First thing’s first – WordPress is a CMS.  What this session will cover is how to make WordPress do some fun things that are widely utilized on websites.

Simple Pull Quote WordPress Plugin Update!

I just updated our Simple Pull Quote WordPress plugin to include an external style sheet that you can edit.  The plugin is simple and completely customizable via CSS. It uses shortcode and custom fields that make it easy to control where the pull quotes will go.
