When installing a plugin at WP Engine, you get a notice that says, “Before taking this action, we at WP Engine recommend that you create a Restore Point of your site. This will allow you undo this action within minutes.”
While this notice is VERY appreciated in most cases, there are some websites where I just don’t want to be bothered – mainly development sites.
I spent some time on WP Engine chat today, and WP Engine support superstar, Rebekah T., was able to remove the popups by adding the following line to wp-config.php:
define("WPE_POPUP_DISABLED",true);
